“Do I have to bother washing my face after going swimming?”

It’s always a good idea to wash your face as the chlorine in the swimming pool will dry out your skin and can make your eyes sting. Go on, have a go under the tap and put on some young & pure moisturiser afterwards for silky soft skin!

“Do any other girls shave at 12 years old? I’ve started shaving my legs and my mum thinks I should wax them but OUCH! that sounds painful!”

Girls start shaving at a range of different ages – it just depends how quickly you’re growing up and developing. Shaving is fine to keep your legs smooth but don’t forget to keep them well moisturised as it can dry out your skin. Waxing will keep your legs smoother for longer but it can sometimes be a bit painful. Perhaps you and your mum could pop into a beauty salon or buy a home waxing kit and give a small area on your legs a try to see what you think.

Body brushing

You brush your hair every day to keep it looking and feeling healthy, so get a body brush and do the same with your skin! Body brushes are available from all good pharmacies and beauty stores. Simply brush your skin all over with a dry body brush. Do this with gentle strokes all in the same direction, to help get rid of toxins and keep your skin glowing!

“The best time to start exercise is now…start strengthening those pelvic floor muscles by tightening when you are driving or sitting,”
